Class Philosophy

Never give up: anything worth doing is hard
Never turn your back: never turn your back on a challenge. Stand firm in the midst of a difficult situation.
My goal is to not only train the body, but the mind as well. I believe that by training you learn the tools needed to meet life’s challenges both physically and mentally.
MMA is a great opportunity for youth (and adults) to focus their mind, gain confidence, be disciplined, and learn respect for others as they gain physical and mental strength in a controlled and positive environment.

Class Format

Classes are co-ed for ages 16 and up. Everyone is welcome. Every class focuses on improving core strength and practicing proper technique.

Core strength: Core strength is essential for a strong body; the muscles of the core run the length of the trunk and torso providing stability to the entire body. Abdominals and muscles that stabilize the spine and pelvis are engaged when techniques are performed correctly.

Technique: To learn a new sport, techniques must be demonstrated,   taught and performed. All participants are taught the basic maneuvers which must be well executed before moving on. Through repetition and co-operative partner drills, new skills are learned and participants will notice an improvement in their performance.
